Fix Controller Ordering - Wall Mounted Arcade

For controllers to function properly, it requires two things:

1. All four controllers are showing as active.

2. The Arcade Controls (joysticks) are set as players 3 and 4.

STEP 1 - Confirm Controllers are Active

Have a look at the top left of the screen. You should see 4 controller icons. These are your active controllers. Player 1 is the leftmost icon, and player 4 is the rightmost icon. You can tell which controller is which by pressing the Start button on a controller, and checking which icon flashes.

If all 4 controller icons are not visible, keep the system on, and unplug all 4 controllers from their USB ports in the PC, then plug them back in.

Plug both Wireless Controllers in first, then press Start on each controller to confirm that it is connecting properly. A solid or blinking red light at the top of the controller means that it's connected. Confirm that 2 controller icons are now showing at the top left.

After that, plug in the left and right Arcade Controller, in that order. Confirm that they are both displaying as icons on the top left of the screen. You should now see 4 total icons. If not, press Start on any controller, select Quit, then Restart System. If the restart does not cause all 4 controllers to show up, unplug and re-plug both Arcade Controllers again, then restart the system again.

STEP 2 - Setting Controller Order

Now that all four of the controllers are active, we can set the order so that the Arcade Controllers are listed as player 3 and 4.

On either of the Arcade Controllers, press Start to open the Main Menu, then select Controllers & Bluetooth Settings as shown below.

Once inside the Controllers & Bluetooth Settings menu, select P3'S CONTROLLER under Player Assignments, and select #0 DRAGONRISE. After that, select P4'S CONTROLLER, and select #1 DRAGONRISE.

Back out of the menu with the back button, and confirm that player 3 and 4 are set properly by referencing the controller icons at the top left of the screen. Press Start on each Arcade Controller a few times to confirm that the left Arcade Controller is lighting up icon 3 (second from the right), and the right Arcade Controller is lighting up icon 4 (furthest right).

If they are reversed, go back into the Player Assignments menu and reverse P3 and P4 so that #1 DRAGONRISE is P3, and #0 DRAGONRISE is P4.

STEP 4 - Confirm Everything is Working

We want to test two things:

1. The exit game command is working on the Player 1 Wireless Controller.

2. Arcade games under the MAME heading are using the Arcade Controls

First, let's test the Exit Game command. To do that, launch any game on the system. Once in-game, press Mode + Start on the P1 Wireless Controller to exit.

Next, find the MAME platform, and launch any game. Once in-game, check to make sure the Coin and Start buttons for each Arcade Controller can be used to add credits and start the game. Then exit normally using Mode + Start on the P1 Wireless Controller.
